Ronnie's Academy of Dance opened in August 1983.  Through its professional instruction and curriculum it is a leader in the field of dance in this area.  We now have larger facilities and two adjacent dance studios with a welcoming waiting area and a large dressing room with lockers for the dancers.

Ryan Bogart

Ryan Bogart was born and raised in Inverness, Florida and began dancing at La Petite School of Dance in Crystal River.  At the age of 13, he was accepted on scholarship to the School of Southern Ballet Theatre (now the Orlando Ballet) and went on to perform with their youth, apprentice, and professional companies as a soloist.  He has studied at the Joffrey Ballet School and STEPS on Broadway in New York City and performed with Alexandra Ballet in St. Louis, Ft. Wayne Ballet in Indiana, Ballet Theatre Pennsylvania, Bay Ballet Theatre in Tampa, and Ballet Theatre International in St. Petersburg.  Some of Ryan's repetoire includes: Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Firebird, Paquita, A Mid-summer Night's Dream, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, La Bayadere, Le Corsaire, Les Sylphides, Giselle, La Fille Mal Gardee, Dracula, Robin Hood, Gaspar, and many ballets choreographed by the late, great George Balanchine of the New York City Ballet. 

Ryan has been a guest dancer, teacher, choreographer, and judge for numerous dance companies, schools, organizations, conventions, and workshops throughout the state of Florida.  His students have won the titles of  Miss Teen Citrus County, Jr. Mr. Dance of Florida, and Miss Dance of Florida, as well as many state and national  dance scholarships and awards, they have also gone on to dance with Orlando Ballet and have received job offers from Busch Gardens and Walt Disney World.  Ryan was the Artistic Director of Florida Nature Coast Ballet for five years, a local regional company that was the first to bring the full-length Nutcracker ballet to Citrus County, as well as his original full-length ballets Cinderella and Pinocchio.

Ronnie Duurloo-Bogart

Ronnie Duurloo began dance training at the age of seven in Clifton, NJ then moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and continued her studies at La Petite School of Dance and the Academy of Ballet Arts.  She was accepted into Ballet Classique Dance Company and has danced professionally since the age of 16 throughout the Southeast.  Ronnie became a teacher at La Petite School of Dance and in 1981 became a member of Dance Masters of America.  She has served as examination chairman, Central West Director, 2nd Vice President, Vice President, President, and Past President of Florida Dance Masters. 

Ms. Duurloo has choreographed programs for plays and pageants and has judged scholarship auditions.  She has done choreography for productions of Grease, A Chorus Line, and 1940's Radio Hour.  Her students have participated and won in the Jr. Miss/Mr. and Miss/Mr. Dance of Florida Pageants.  They have won silver, high silver, gold, and platinum medals at the Royal Dance Festival in Orlando, Dance Olympus, American Dance Awards, New York City Dance Alliance, and L.A. DanceForce.  Ronnie has been advisor and coach to many Miss Citrus County and Miss Teen Citrus County winners.  She has also coordinated fashion shows for the Crystal River Mall.
