"Let them praise His name with dancing." Psalm 149:3
Welcome Back!
Dear Parents & Students,
Hello and welcome back to a new year of dance! Mark your calendars now for our recital on Saturday, June 18th, 2011. We would first like to thank everyone for their generous gifts and dynamic performance in Dancing Through Wonderland! We have heard nothing but great reviews!!
Recital pictures will be available for pick-up at the studio beginning Monday, Aug. 16th, if you have not already picked them up during dance camp.
Please read the studio rules and policies on the registration form thoroughly and acknowledge them with your signature. The registration form is to be completed for each student. Please submit the completed and signed registration along with a minimum of 50% deposit for your classes PLUSthe registration fee as indicated on your invoice and class schedule. This deposit is applied to your first ten weeks of classes and should be received no later than August 13th to reserve your space in class. Please make sure that you send your deposit, as we cannot place your child in class until we receive your confirmation (this applies to all returning students as well as new students)
Please review the website for the registration form and studio calendar for the 2010-2011 dance year. Pleasepost the calendar where you will see it often, as it is full of very importantdates that you will want to remember for the entire year.
Please Note: Anyone arriving late for class, meaning after the teacher has started the class, may be asked to watch class and not participate depending on class level. It is important for injury prevention that the appropriate warm-up take place before the dancer proceeds through class and late arrival does not allow for a proper warm-up.
Attendance Policy:Parents/Guardians must report all absences prior to class time. The school must be notified if a student (a) will be absent due to illness, (b) will be absent for an extended period of time, or (c) is ceasing to take lessons. Taking a student out of class early will cost him/her valuable curriculum work and is disruptive for the entire class. Please arrange appointments and activities around the dance class schedule to avoid absences.
Late Fee Policy: If one half (1/2) of a 10 week pay period balance is not paid by the 5th week or if the total balance is not paid by the 10th week of that pay period, a $10.00 per week late fee will accrue until the balance is paid in full.
Dress Code Addendum: Students arriving unprepared for class will be asked to sit and observe that day. Arriving prepared for class includes wearing the appropriate clothing, shoes and a neat bun at all times except for Jazz, Acro and Hip-Hop classes which require a neat ponytail. If needed, please ask at the desk for a copy of detailed instructions on how to make a ballet bun. Please make sure your dancer's hair is put in a bun before ballet class to avoid us having to take valuable class time to do it for you. Due to hygiene rules, we can not loan out ballet clothing, shoes or hair supplies. It is the parent's responsibility to see that your dancer arrives fully dressed and prepared.
